The Only On King is hosting the first fundraising dinner for local non-profit Growing Chefs! Ontario. The event will take place Sunday March 1st at 6:00pm.
Chef/Owners Jason Schubert and Paul Harding and Sous-chef Geoff Spencer will be donating their time to cook for the evening. A Grade four student from Tecumseh Public School who participated in the program last year will M.C. the dinner.
Tickets are $100.00 and will include a four course meal including wine. The meal will feature local fare generously donated by Field Gate Organics, Rosewood Winery, Onthemove Organics, The Arva Flour Mill, and the Fire Roasted Coffee Company.
There will be four large tables, and the food will be served "family style"; large plates of food to be passed around and shared. The Only does a fantastic job cooking this way, and it will allow people who might not know each other a chance to chat. We want the dinner be a reflection of the community theme that Growing Chefs! promotes, and feel that "family style" dining would be the best way to do that.
All money raised will go to fund the Growing Chefs! Classroom Gardening Project.
