Other locations can be added anywhere in the city by registering through this website and students can earn community service hours as part of their high school commitment. Please join us! The 9th Annual Thames River Clean Up.
This year promises to be bigger and better than ever! All registered participants will be eligible to win a brand new canoe donated by Nova Craft Canoe!

During the past eight years, many environmentally concerned volunteers, landowners, clubs, organizations and municipalities have pulled together during Earth Week to help clean up portions of the Thames River. Last year 1,800 volunteers were able to clean up 200 km of the Thames River and tributaries.

Through participation in this event, secondary school students can earn hours towards their Community Involvement Volunteer Hours.

Thanks to the financial support given to us by our community partners, the Thames River Clean Up committee will provide all volunteers with garbage bags and work gloves. Also, the first 1,000 volunteers will receive complimentary earth bags. We hope that many of the volunteers will adopt a section of river and continue to care for it year round.
If you would like to show your appreciation for our Canadian Heritage River and participate in our efforts to help make the Thames a cleaner and healthier waterway, come out and clean up your favourite part of the Thames River.
